Program description and what is included

The language course consists of 15 hours per week. On arrival, the children take an entrance test and, based on the results, are allocated to classes of up to 15 students. Available at any level.

Description

The English Language Centre organises English language camps at Writtle University College in Chelmsford. The town is located northeast of London near Cambridge, Oxford and Canterbury. It has stunning Victorian architecture, lots of cafes and restaurants and that picturesque nature and atmosphere from Jane Austen's books. The campus is landscaped and has its own farm and garden. It was founded in 1893 on former Royal hunting grounds. It trains future ecologists, veterinarians and foresters. Graduates include two British ministers of agriculture. 

Here kids have plenty of time and opportunities for sport. There are playgrounds and an indoor sports hall on site. There are dance workshops led by choreographers for the children. Sports activities are supervised by a team of professional coaches. For those not interested in sports at all, there are management courses. There you can learn the tricks of the top resume, teamwork and business design. The Kidzania course is suitable for kids 10-14 years old; they will visit an educational park where they will learn skills for real-life professions. Educational content is sure to be mixed with excursions and a good rest. Over the weekend all the kids go to Cambridge, Canterbury and London. In the evenings they are involved in games, films, quizzes and discos. 

The children live and study in the same area as ordinary British students. The residence is single rooms with shared and private facilities. The residential block is within a short walk away from the school. The view from the campus overlooks the garden and playgrounds. Meals are provided three times a day. Lunch is packed for the kids on the excursion.
